fameportix.org is an independent, informational project that documents how people interact with the streets, transit stops, parks, markets, and civic spaces that make up daily life in Canadian cities.
What We Do
A field notebook for public life
We spend time watching how people actually use the spaces designed for them — where they gather, how they move, and what small rituals form around ordinary services.
Rather than treating cities as abstractions, we pay attention to details: the bench that is always occupied at noon, the market stall with the longest line, the library corner where regulars sit. These details add up to a fuller picture of how a place works for the people in it.
fameportix.org publishes what we observe as accessible field notes and short essays, aimed at anyone curious about the quiet mechanics of city life across Canada.
